on . Posted in Rount Tables

On April 4, the "National Resource" Centre  in Sokhumi hosted a Round Table dedicated to the protection of human rights and women's rights at the local self-government level. Civil society activists, lawyers, and Sokhumi Councillor participated in the discussion of these topical issues. As it was said at the conference, there are no many local authorities that hink they are obliged to comply with the norms of human rights. It is very important to impleent an inclusive method of participation for citizens in order to ensure that their daily needs are addressed.

The conference was held as part of the project “Learning from the experience of Visegrad 4 to advocate for equal, inclusive and democratic local governance”.

The project is implemented with the support of the Visegrad Fund and the Kingdom of the Netherlands
