The project envisages the introduction of the first Online Vote-O-Meter for the 2020 Parliamentary Elections in Georgia.

This voting advice application will help to put informed discussions at the heart of the 2020 elections and the preceding campaign, making Georgia a more democratic and transparent society.

All political parties running in the election will be invited to give their opinion on a set of political statements.

Voters will then be able to answer the same statements for themselves. The underlying principle is simple. A series of questions is presented to the voter. The user then can “agree”, “disagree” or “agree halfway” on a given set of statements. The online system then works out the user's political proximity to the political parties. The result will help Georgian voters to find out which party they could vote for.

The project will be supported by a series of TV appearances, social media outlets and public debates.

Fund Sukhumi will be assisted by three partners from the Visegrad countries:

The partners will help with designing an advocacy and online campaign strategy and the scientific background of the project.

Fund Sukhumi is a women-led NGO from Kutaisi, Georgia. The organization works towards a peaceful democratic society in Georgia and supports women-led activities, making women sustainable actors of peace.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. “Learning from Visegrad 4 Experience to Advocate for Equal, Inclusive and Democratic Local Governance”

Women NGO, Cultural-Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” starts implementation of new project from April1, 2017. The project is aimed at advocacy of equal, inclusive and democratic power at local level based on the experience of European leader countries.

Duration of the project – 1.04.17 – 31.07.18.

Partners of the project are Czech, Georgian, Slovakian, Abkhazian, Polish and Hungarian experts.

During the project there will be studied the experience of Visegrad countries in direction of establishing gender approaches, participation of the population in the reforms of local government and advocacy of political reforms.

In frames of the project there will be held study visits, multi-component researches, public and expert consultations on the issues of gender policy and Euro integration.  There will be developed a political strategy, focused on local government reform and gender mainstreaming, which will be presented to the public in the form of a publication; The information campaign will be conducted for introducing the project duration and the results obtained to the public; The evidence will be provided on the project website http://fsv4.ge/

At the end of the project, on the basis of program documents for facilitation of   implementation of the recommendations, there will be held a conference with participation of project partners, the gender policy, implementing entities, civil society groups, international organizations.

The Contract between the Cultural-Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” and the International Visegrad Fund on implementation of the project No 21650056, named Learning from Visegrad 4 Experience to Advocate for Equal, Inclusive and Democratic Local Governance, has been concluded.

The project will last for seventeen months. Experts from V4 countries – Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary as well as from Georgian and Abkhaz NGOs will participate in the project.

The project is implemented with the support  of the Visegrad Fund 

The International Visegrad Fund has approved the project proposal “Learning from Visegrad 4 experience to advocate for equal, inclusive and democratic local governance” submitted by Fund “Sukhumi”. The project will be implemented during 16 months.

It aims at studying the experience of the Visegrad 4 (V4) in gender mainstreaming and public participation in local governance reform and at advocating for policy reforms based on best practices. Through study tours, research and series of follow-up public and expert consultations, the project will develop a policy-oriented strategy for reforming local governance and gender mainstreaming.
