Radio program about the significance of integration of gender approaches in public life

on . Posted in Mass Media

A radio program about the significance of integration of gender approaches in our life was broadcasted on air of radio “Rioni” on the 17th of June. Chairperson of Fund Sukhumi Alla Gamakharia – an expert on gender issues told about the work carried out by Fund Sukhumi on integration of gender approaches in life: about the study reflecting European countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary) experiences, and the conference carried out in Tbilisi. The respondent stressed the importance of gender mainstreaming in our life. It seems like simple and ordinary things can greatly affect the lives of women and men. For example, at what time water is delivered, how ramps are equipped or there are none at all, where there is a light in the dark street - these and many other issues affect the lives of women and make it more difficult and unsafe. One can avoid all the afore mentioned if he or she would correctly and competently approach to the solution of gender problems.

The project is implemented with the support of the Visegrad Fund and the Kingdom of the Netherlands
